Our Commitment to an Accessible Website
Many of the people who visit our website are older adults, and many are caring for someone with vision, hearing, memory or mobility challenges. Gainesville Home Care is committed to making gainesvilleflhomecare.com easy to read and use for everyone. This statement describes our goals, what we have done so far and how to tell us about a problem. Last updated October 2026.
Our Accessibility Goal
We aim to meet the Web Content Accessibility Guidelines (WCAG) 2.2 at Level AA. These guidelines, published by the World Wide Web Consortium (W3C), explain how to make web content more usable for people with a wide range of disabilities, and they generally make websites easier for everyone to use.
What We Have Done
- Readable text sizes, clear fonts and strong color contrast between text and backgrounds
- A logical heading structure so screen reader users can scan each page
- Descriptive alternative text for meaningful images
- Menus, links, buttons and forms that work with a keyboard, with a visible focus outline
- Form fields with clear labels and error messages
- Layouts that adapt to phones and tablets and allow zooming up to 200 percent
- Plain-language writing with short sentences and clear headings
- Phone numbers that can be tapped to call on mobile devices
Known Limitations
We review the site regularly, but some content may not yet fully meet our goal. Third-party tools, such as embedded maps or the spam-protection check on our contact form, are controlled by other companies and may not be fully accessible. If you have trouble with any part of the site, we are glad to help another way, including by phone.
Compatibility
The website is designed to work with current versions of major web browsers, including Chrome, Safari, Edge and Firefox, and with common assistive technologies such as screen readers and screen magnifiers. Older browsers may display some features differently.

Our Ongoing Commitment
Accessibility is ongoing work. As we add pages and features, we test them for accessibility and fix issues as we find them. We welcome feedback from visitors, families and caregivers, because it helps us serve the Gainesville community better.
